It would have been nice if Topps would have released at least one of these on the first day or two of the promotion. Many collectors are not happy with this promotion but yet it seems that people are still buying codes at $2 a pop. My question is, why?

This year's promotion does seem really lack luster as opposed to last year. I like the look of the exclusive cards, but there are only a few Braves for me to chase and with the rate they are showing up I'm not holding my breath to be able to obtain them anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteI do not know a single person who thinks that this promotion is better than last year's. I am pretty sure I am one of the first who entered enough codes to unlock 200 coins. If so, I think I get a die cut set of 100 cards and a gold embedded 1/1 card (look at the "How It Works" section on the Golden Giveaway site). Once I get these, I will be selling these immediately as they will only go down in value as more and more are released.

ReplyDeleteThank you for that information! I find that VERY hard to believe. It seems that there are many people buying up these codes on EBay over the past few months in big chunks so that you would think we would have reached 100 by now!
